My artwork is situational to my surroundings, specifically the people who surround me. I normally identify with ceramics as my main medium but I also use video, photography, installation, and sculpture to create my work. I believe interacting, listening and learning from other human beings is invaluable and crucial for us to do as a community. The need for relationship is inherent in our human make-up. I have a special interest in the stories that live within each person, therefore, I strive to create spaces that allow people to connect and share parts of their story. Surprisingly, despite the fact that I am extremely introverted, my energy is recharged when I have conversations with strangers. My work addresses this need through providing installations and spaces to either view stories or interact with other people and listen to their stories first hand.
